A little while back I wrote a post about my daughter lifting her shirt at school to show her friend a My Little Pony stick on tattoo. Today I was looking at the stats of the solitarymama blog on wordpress.com (which is the same blog) and in recent searches it says, “wondering what business a 5 year old girl has lifting up her shirt, solitary momma”. Ouch, I feel horrible.

In our defense (mine and my daughter’s), she didn’t lift her shirt up over her head. The tattoo was on the side of her lower belly. I know it’s still not good and I was in no way saying little girls should behave that way. I guess my point was that in children there is an innocence that grown ups leave behind and forget about. Sometimes there is no other meaning, sometimes it’s just a little girl showing her friend a My Little Pony tattoo. I chose to tell her not to do that again and not freak out about it.

I’m wondering if it was someone that knows me. Just feels so weird that a stranger would search those words.
