A couple days ago I received that cute little Stylish Blogger award from my awesome writer-friend, Beth aka Word Nerd. Lots of meaningful and thought provoking stuff over there, so you should check out her blog. It took me a while to write this post because I wanted to follow the rules and also write a halfway decent post. Thanking Beth and everyone else that drops by to see what kind of foolishness I’m writing about is no laughing matter.

I know this isn’t the most poignant blog on the block. In fact, I’m fully aware before hitting the “submit” button that I have often made a huge contribution to the mound of junk that is on the web. It is still a privilege to be able to do it and an even bigger privilege to have people read it.

Anyway, here are the rules for the Stylish Blogger Award:

  1. Thank and link back to the person giving you the award. Thanks, Beth!
  2. Share 7 things about yourself.
  3. Award 10-15 blogs you think deserve this award.
  4. Contact these bloggers and let them know about the award.

So…Seven Things About Me

1.  I was even more ignorant before I became a mother.

2.  I have a way more interesting life online than I do in real life.

3.  I love Animal Farm by George Orwell. Not because of any intelligent reason but because talking pigs crack me up.

4.  I have no real knowledge of proper grammar or writing. In case you haven’t noticed.

5.  I feel like I owe the universe a whole lot.

6.  I’m deathly afraid of my teeth falling out.

7.  For some reason I have a lot less hair than I did last year.

Awesomest bloggers I know: (If you are on this list but have already received this award, I’m including you anyway. If you want another Stylish Blogger Award, feel free to post it.)

Word Nerd Speaks – she probably got this award 10 times already.

Derek’s Dungeon – he already got it a bazillion times.

Seriously? – he doesn’t blog often but is at the top of genius bloggers. I don’t even know why he’s friends with me.

Nicholas Morine – doesn’t blog often either. Cuz he’s too busy writing books.

Damyanti Writes – awesome flash fiction posts, met her through the A to Z Challenge.

Laugh Quotes – another A to Zee-er cuz she’s funny.

The Robert’s Blog – just because he hides from birthdays.

Donald Pennington – craggy man introduced me to the A to Z.

Kelly Diels – single mother, awesome blogger, cool chick.

Ask Mr. Credit Card – the coolest dude I’ve ever worked with.

I know from this list that some of you have the award already and some of you don’t give a shit about a blog award. Still, you’re all awesome (and I know I’ve left out hundreds of others, I apologize now).

I also want to thank everyone else that stops by once in a while. And before I get all Grammy accepting-like…I’m off to harass people about their Stylish Blog Awards.

Thank you. Really.

“I don’t even know why he’s friends with me.”

Just because you’re you… if you were not you, I would be friends with who you were, not who you are… so there you have it.
    … and thanks!

Thanks! I am truly honored to be on your list, although it will take me a few days to follow the rules. LOL – I love this post, and I am missing a tooth. It’s not that bad, really.

I think everyone is more exciting online. When you meet someone IRL it’s sometimes a let down.
